Heather chose to become a nurse because of her deep-rooted desire to help people in need. Heather’s personal philosophy of nursing is that she will use her education and clinical experiences to care for her patients and act as an advocate for them, encouraging them to be actively involved in their own care, which increases their feelings of self-worth and results in improved outcomes.
Heather graduated from IU Bloomington with her BSN and started her career working in orthopedics. Since that time she has held many different positions across the spectrum of care and in many different areas of nursing. Heather has a 9 year old son, Paxton, who might just be the coolest kid ever and who fills her life with lots of love and laughter. Heather truly enjoys working in the field of functional and integrative medicine and helping her patients feel and look their best. When not at work, she likes to spend time with the people she loves and traveling to new and exciting places.
